Velvet's Story

PRRRr....oh hello, I didn't see you there! I'm Velvet, I came to ARTS from a rural pound after my family moved away. I really didn't like living in a cage, so the nice people at the pound contacted ARTS. Now I'm living my best life in a foster home. BUT there are other animals at this foster home, and what I really want is a house where I am your one and only. I mean, have you met a dog? They are terrible!!

I'm the kind of cat that may take a while to warm up to people, so I might be shy when we first meet. Don't worry though, once I warm up I enjoy cuddles and will definitely come to you for attention. I am not vocal or demanding (unless I'm hungry), but I do like your company. I also like to be brushed and I still get a burst of energy when it is time to play. feather wands are great toys. I can entertain myself with a toy mouse or two, but I prefer that we play together.

I spend most of my day lounging and enjoying the view outside my window. My foster family says I've fully embraced retirement, and I've got no complaints!
