Spike's Story

Meet Spike!! This sweet boy is 12 years young. He is the most gentle boy ever. When Spike first came into foster, you could tell his whole world had been turned upside down. Spike has been very slow to come out of his shell, but has slowly been letting his personality shine through.

 

He loves to go for walks but also loves to nap!! Spike barks very seldomly, however, he does like to talk with his whine. So, Spike is looking for someone patient enough to learn his language and figure out what he is asking for or talking about.

 

Spike is pretty good at going to the washroom outside, however, he does have the odd accident. Especially when it's very cold outside!! Sweet Spike has next to no teeth left so a soft diet is needed for him. But he sure enjoys his meals and his treats.

 

We are guessing Spike was not allowed on furniture or beds in the past, as he is much more comfortable when his four paws are touching the ground. But perhaps when he learns to love and trust fully again, that might change.

 

Spike is one of the calmest, best natured dogs we have ever met. Spike does nothing fast. He is very laid-back and easy-going. Spike adores other dogs, and really does not take interest in my two cats. Sound like your kind of dude? Please apply here.
