Shyla's Story

Hullo, my name is Shyla! Unlike what my name implies, I'm not particularly shy. I do need to work on my socialization but when it comes to adult humans I love them, so no problem there. I really like to cuddle and be pet. If you stop petting me I'll give you a gentle tap to let you know that I'm still here and I need my skritches!

I want to go with you anytime, anywhere, so I would prefer a human who can give me lots of attention. I can be left alone though.

I'm happy to go adventuring with you outside and I have good leash manners. Just make sure no children come up to me on our walk.  I might seem calm around kids but I shouldn't be trusted with children, I really don't like them. I will resort to using my teeth very quickly. Because of this I need an experienced adopter who can recognize my body language and help me through my big feelings. 

I am housetrained and good around the house. I don't shed but will need regular grooming. I also have some foster animal siblings and I don't mind them, so a home with other animals would probably be okay.

I know that I'm not the perfect pup, and that I'm a senior, but my foster family tells me I'm the sweetest and that I am going to make a family very happy. I hope they are right! If you'd like to be my new family, please  apply here to get the adoption process started.
