Sheba and Jessie's Story
Jessie and Sheba are a pair of people lovers looking for a home with a warm bed to snuggle up with you on! They shared a home together since they were kittens and have taken fostering very well despite this all being very new and scary. Jessie is a gorgeous long haired tabby that will need to be brushed, and Sheba is an adorable short furred classic tabby with low white markings (in other words-She has socks!)
Sheba is very direct with her affections, despite being very shy at first once she is comfortable you will never see the end of her. She will sit down on you no matter where you are, and she is content to simply sit on you while you watch TV or sit at the computer. If you pet her(which you should) she will perk up right away, and is most content when being coddled. Whether or not she sleeps with you at night is decided seemingly randomly, though if she does cuddle up to you and you wiggle around too much she will leave you.
Jessie is quite similar to Sheba in her love for affection- only she will demand it from you instead of waiting for it. If you are somewhere she can reach she will sit and paw at your leg until you pet her, meowing (it's really more of a squeak) in a way that will make you feel terrible if you don't give her what she wants. She isn't as fond of sitting on you as Sheba is, but will happily curl up against your leg or stand on your lap while being pet. She also absolutely wants to sleep on your bed with you.
Despite being older, Jessie is the more playful of the two. She will occasionally bat around small toys or roll around with a catnip stuffed fish, while Sheba would rather nap (but if you put some catnip on her bed, she loves it!). They both love to sit in windows, especially when the windows are open and they can breathe that fresh and enticing outside air- but please keep them indoors, they've only ever gone outside in kennels for travel purposes.
They don't seem to be the best of friends which is why we have no photos of them together, but they will eat from the same bowl and be quite chill together, so we think it woul dbe best if they stick together. Sheba is very jealous and is not compatible with other cats, Jessie is the only one she will willingly spend any peaceful time with.
Jessie always looks a little lost and confused, but it only adds to her wholesome demeanour. To contrast her daydreaming look, Sheba has huge crystal clear eyes that are always in "puppy dog begging" mode. They are both incredibly sweet kitties and would love a calmer home life to ride out their retirement, and, of course, plenty of petting. If you've got a lap to sit on, you should definitely apply here and meet them.
