Rocky & Willow's Story
Willow and Rocky might look different, but these two sweethearts are bonded best friends. They were well loved and came to us after their owner sadly passed away. Willow is a 10-12 years old calico and Rocky is a 15-16 year old black and white medium haired cat. Both are a little overweight and need a foster who is committed to their diet.
Willow is the more forward of the two cats and she has the sweetest little meow. From the first day her foster family met her, she came out of the crate purring and looking for attention. She is a total lovebug and enjoys being brushed and cuddled. Willow doesn't beg for food per se, but she will often stare at her empty bowl and give some excellent side eye while waiting for it to be filled. She thinks she's every intimidating but it always makes her foster family laugh.
Rocky took a little longer to warm up, in part because of all the vet appointments he had. While most of his photos show him with two eyes, this handsome lad recently had an eye removed due to glaucoma. The eye was causing him pain and you can tell that he is relieved to have it gone. He has no problem getting around and the ARTS team has affectionately nicknamed him "pirate flufferbottom."
After several weeks in foster care Rocky decided to curl up on his foster mom's lap, and since then he's been hooked on people. Human laps are now his favourite place to sleep! So don't be fooled, once he's had a chance to decompress and get used to his new home, he will likely be as affectionate as Willow.
Do you have a warm cosy lap for Rocky to sit on, and a hand to pet Willow with? Then please consider bringing these two home. You can apply here to meet them.
