Hi Folks! I'm Riley, a 9 year old neutered authentic Heinz 57. I know I have pug in me and maybe some shepherd and some spaniel, but really it’s a guess. I love my ARTS foster family (especially my Dad) but it’s time to find a home of my own. 

My favourite things are long walks (which I am very good at), sleeping with my humans, and playing with my toys... lots of toys. I LOVE the ones that honk rather than squeak, so I would be very happy if you bought me a few when I come home with you. I also have my basic commands and I’m a pretty smart boy; I’d love to learn a few more tricks to keep my brain busy.

Do you enjoy a good conversationalist? Then I’m your dog! I’m a great listener, but I also like to talk a lot. My foster family says I wouldn’t be a very good apartment dog or for someone who lives in a split level… I can’t imagine why. When you come home I am especially overjoyed and I will shout your arrival to the whole world. Don’t you wish every person greeted you with such exuberance? 

I was surrendered because I was starting to feel frustrated with the new kids I was living with, so no kiddos for me. Teens might be okay. I am good with cats and I’m not a hard a no with other dogs, but I would prefer you all to myself. Speaking of having you all to myself, I would prefer if we could spend a lot of time together. My separation anxiety is mild, but my preferred home would have someone who can be home more often than your standard work day.
