Max's Story

​

Max is 14+ male Dachshund that had a bit of a rough patch with his health and CHS thought ARTS could help him find his retirement home. 

Don’t let his age fool you Max will give those a rabbits a run for their money!! He is great in the car, enjoys walks, food, and most of all to cuddle on couch. He has lots of spunk, a fabulous personality. 

He can be snippety with dogs but does well with an introduction. He seems fine with cats and has met children but not spent a lot of time with them. 

Max will do best with someone who is home most of the time as he doesn’t like to be left behind and definitely in detached housing because he is vocal when on his own. Max is very affectionate and would prefer to be with you all the time and loves to share your bed with you and under the covers if it’s cool out! 

Max’s foster would love to keep him but knows he will be better off spending his days right next to his human, will be patient with his barking and work on him being ok alone for a little while.

Max may have some food sensitivities but nothing a little rice and pumpkin hasn’t helped!
