Mako's Story

MAKO is an 8 year old Boston Terrier. She is true to her breed, so please make sure to look up Bostons before filling out an application. Mako loves to go for walks and will need some help with her leash manners, but due to her size she's very manageable. Just don't forget a sweater, Mako gets cold easily and likes to stay warm and cozy.

Mako has a genetic eye condition (corneal dystrophy) which will require 2 sets of eye drops AM and PM for the duration of her life to keep it from progressing. She can also get gassy from certain foods, so adding a probiotic and/ or grain free food is recommended. Mako is a very good girl, but she does need to work on her housetraining a bit. She always pees outside, but she will sometimes poop inside, especially when it is cold out. 

Mako is very quiet and doesn't bark. She is only vocal by giving little whines when you are not paying enough attention to her. Mako loves attention, she's a total love bug and snuggle buddy. One of her favourite things to do is to cuddle up under the blankets with you and keep you company 24/7. For this reason, it is best if Mako has someone who is home a lot.

Mako is very submissive. She loves kids, people, and cats. She enjoys having a dog companion and might benefit from having one in the house. Mako can get quite scared by loud noises, yelling, or aggressive tones or behaviors, so for this reason, a calm household would be most appreciated for Mako.
