Gilligan's Story

Ahoy there, my name is Gilligan and I'm hoping to be the first mate to your captain. You are very lucky that my foster mom has two cats of her own, because she says that otherwise she would never want to let go of me. I'm just the perfect boy!

​

When I first arrived on the island... I mean at my foster home, I was pretty terrified. I hissed and growled at everyone for a week or two. I know that's shocking to hear because now I am very affectionate, but new waters made me nervous. Now a days I can’t believe I ever growled at my foster mom. If I butt my head on her shoulder she gives me wonderful pets. Sometimes I even tap her hand with my paw to get her attention, and we always cuddle while she drinks her morning coffee.

I love wet cat food, and I get along just fine with the resident cats and dog. I use the litter box like the perfect gentleman and my foster mom loves how I purr and meow at the same time (it's a good thing she can't understand my sailor's vocabulary). 

You might have noticed that my eye is a little wonky. The vet says that it's just the way I am and there is no problem with it. Speaking of the vet, I'd rather live on a deserted island than go visit her. As a result, my foster mom says that I have to be sedated when I go- whatever that means.
