Hello there! My name is Freedom, but my foster parents also call me Dom, Good Boy, and Sweet Feet (because of the happy dance I do when I get excited)! I’ve come a long way since I first came to ARTS, and I’m excited to show off my progress to my forever family!
My foster parents say that I’m a very polite pup. I wait nicely to be let in and out—even if the door is wide open, I never steal food from my foster siblings or off the table, and I wait my turn during treat time. I was a really quick learner when it came to house rules and daily routines.
Some of my favourite things to do are nap, snooze, and sleep. Don’t get me wrong though, I still enjoy our backyard playtime and walks around the neighbourhood. I have grown to really enjoy the company of my foster siblings, and playing with them has been more fun than I imagined. A house with another dog would be enjoyable, but I also do really well on my own.
One reason my foster parents think I enjoy resting so much is because I’ve had a few lump removal operations, so my body is working hard to keep me healthy. Something my forever family should know about me is that even though all of my bad lumps and bumps have been removed, there is always a chance that they could grow back. Not to worry though, my vet says I have plenty of great time ahead of me before that could happen. You may also notice from my photos is that I only have one good ear. I'm not in any pain from this, but I may have recurring ear issues due to some past untreated infections. My foster parents still say I'm handsome, and I can always hear the treat bag being opened no matter how sneaky they're trying to be.
So that's me, a good boy who can't wait to be free to be his best self. If you have room in your house and heart for a big guy like me, please apply here.
