EBONY

Ebony's Story

We'd like you to meet Ebony, a lovely black short haired feline with a definite personality. He's still an active boy, when he gets chasing his favourite ball or playing with his cloth "snake" you would never know he's fourteen years old.

Ebony is not crazy about being picked up, but after he gets to know you will come and sit on your lap or lay beside you and purr, purr, purr! He loves having his head and neck scratched and then just loves to be petted. He is also a "talker", he will greet you in the morning with a chirp or warble and will greet you with the same meows if you've been gone a while. What a nice welcome home he gives!

Since Ebony is deaf you need to approach him gently. Other pets would be okay in the house as long as they also are gentle. We found this out when he met our grand-dog who is very quiet and shy. It took a couple visits before Ebony realized the dog was no threat to him and now they are fine together.

Ebony is quite an independent cat but loves to have the human company around and would add much joy to a good home. Could you be the right retirement home for him?
