Crash's Story
Crash is a wonderful dog who came to us with very little history history. What we have learned so far is that he is playful and lively when he is excited, but he can also happily lounge beside you on the couch. At bedtime, you must be prepared for exuberant goodnight kisses; Crash is a licker! Be prepared for some face kisses.
Crash has a few habits that could use an r+ trainer to help with (we are happy to make recommendations). He does jump up when excited and he can get rather talkative at times. He also shows some signs of separation anxiety and should be crated as he can get himself in to trouble when alone. His anxiety may get better as he starts to feel more secure and settled in a forever home, but his new owner should be prepared for this to be a life long issue.
Crash is a climber, who knew such a little dog could get so high! This is incredibly endearing but it also means that if you are not careful he will find a way on to your kitchen table. And while he's happy to find whatever food is on your counters, he's a bit picky about his own food. He has had a dental and does not have many teeth left, so soaked kibble, raw or soft food is the best way to go with him.
Crash does well on leash. We were told he was raised with a cat so we expect he would do well with them. He also gets along great with his foster dog siblings of various sizes. Because of the barking and the jumping Crash would prefer a home with kids he can't knock down, and detached housing.
He is housetrained and only had a few instances of marking when he first arrived. He loves to lounge outside on nice days but should not be left alone because of his ability to climb. He has not shown any signs of digging in the yard.
Crash is very intelligent and would love a home that will keep him engaged. He is not just a pretty face! If you think you have the right home for him please apply here.
