Cleo's Story
My name is Cleo and I find myself looking for the purrrfect retirement home at the age of 14. I am a beautiful long haired diluted tortie. I maintain my own coat very well but if you wanted to help me, I love a good brush. When you brush me I will affectionately purrr away and enjoy every moment of it.
I enjoy curling up in my basket, ear scritches, and a warm sunny spot through the window. I am a very clean girl with impeccable house manners. I never try and jump on the counters, I have never scratched the furniture, and I don't kick litter all over the place. I also have the tiniest of meows and you have to listen to really hear me.
The vet says for my age I am in good health, but I do require a few things to keep me in top top shape. I have early stage kidney disease so I require kidney food. I am currently eating KD kibble and a quarter can of wet food a day. Down the road I will need a simple test so my kidney function can be monitored and a dental check for my back teeth which the vet said to keep an eye on.
I am not a big eater so I am able to free feed, making me an easy keeper if you have a busy schedule. I am a bit shy to start but once I warm up I will be happy to sit with you or maybe even on your feet to keep them warm.
Regarding other animals, I came from an only pet home and I haven't had much interaction with them. While the people at ARTS would love to give me the same type of home with just a human and no one else, they are willing to try a home with calm other animals and proper introductions. Young kids would likely keep me hiding, but older respectful kids would probably be just fine.
If you have a little space on the couch next to you please apply here or contact our Cat Adoption Team to learn about how to meet me.
