Bentley's Story

Hi Everyone my name is Bentley! Or “The Bent” as my foster mom affectionately calls me. I’m an 11 year old Yorkie and will melt your heart. I have a big personality (typical Yorkie style) but I’m actually very chill, calm and will only bark at you when I want to go for a walk, I’m hungry or want to play.

I am an active guy and love walks. I like to go out at least 3-4 times a day for about an hour and a half in total. I love every dog I meet on my walks and always want to make new friends. I don’t have many teeth left so I require wet food all the time. My favourite is home cooked meals like chicken, beef, sweet potatoes and pumpkin purée.

My favourite toy is Lambchops. I like to play fetch and get chased around the house with him in my mouth. My love language is belly rubs. There is nothing I love more in this world and if I don’t get enough I will let you know my displeasure about that. When I get scared or frightened I do get mad and try to bite but I quickly feel bad and will say sorry and give kisses. It’s something I’m working on and doesn’t happen often these days (thankfully I can’t hurt anyone because I don’t have teeth). I just need patience, love and understanding.

I would be best in a home with other dogs and a family that doesn’t leave me alone for too long (I miss my humans when they are gone). I’m fully potty trained to go outside. I am great with older children and other pets in the home (my foster mom has a lizard that I cuddle with). I am excited to meet my furever home and my new family, so please
