Paul Newman's Story
Paul Newman was rescued after his owners wanted to euthanize him for being aggressive. Thankfully he was taken in by another rescue group who recognized that pain was causing him to lash out. He was transferred to ARTS and with some love, medical care, and time, Paul Newman became his healthy happy self.
Paul is a cat that loves to be loved. It can take him a little while to warm up, but once he does he will sleep with his head near, or on, your pillow. Paul will often greet you in the mornings by purring loudly and watching you contently. He loves to cuddle while curled up on the bed, and he will run for the bedroom when you walk in the door at the end of the day, encouraging you to follow him. Mr. Newman enjoys his time outside on the balcony, watching birds and traffic and sitting on the top platform of his cat tree.
He is a big boy and could stand to lose a pound or two, but nothing substantial. Overall Paul is in very good health, but he does take Restoralax daily with his canned food to keep him regular. Paul would not be an appropriate cat for a household with kids as he does not like to be picked up. He also gets startled easily by loud or unexpected noises. He is currently being fostered without any animals and we were told on intake that he would appreciate a home with no cats. Due to Covid-19, we are not comfortable pet testing him. If you are have another animal in the home and are really set on Paul Newman, please contact our cat adoption team to discuss further.
