Duke's Story

 

Hello there, my name is Duke! I come from the NWT but I was not doing well in a shelter environment so the kind people there arranged for me to meet my new ARTS family! I have been around for 8-10 years and haven stolen many hearts. Maybe I could steal yours next? 

 

 I have had my vet here in Alberta give me a good check up and I got a glowing bill of health. Okay so I am mostly deaf but follow hand signals very well.

 

My foster family says I am very well behaved. I love other dogs. I'm a big goofy cuddly boy and I love all humans. I'm still active and I enjoy walks but I'm also happy to cozy up on the couch with you. I am a good boy on leash most of the time, but sometimes I do get a little distracted by the smells. The good news is that I am very food motivated. Who said an old dog can't learn new tricks?

Edit: We have had some wonderful applications for Duke, all with lots of other pets. While Duke is a friendly guy he would prefer a less busy household with only 1-2 other doggy friends.
