Diva & Sheba's Story

These golden girls are a bonded mother-daughter pair and their foster dad says they are the best roommates ever! Both are potty trained and seem to do best on a set routine. If one of them needs to do their business “off schedule” they will let you know in advance (even in the middle of the night so it’s best if they sleep within earshot).

Both Sheba and Diva are calm and sleep like champions both at night and during the day. (Foster dad is very jealous!) The girls are currently doing great in an apartment setting. Neither is super high energy and they rarely bark (unless a stranger enters the home). They walk well together on leash but appreciate the opportunity to stop and sniff the neighbourhood. Neither of these girls are into performing party tricks for your entertainment and they have outgrown toys and chasing balls. If you throw the ball, you better be prepared to go fetch it yourself!

Due to their medical conditions (kidney/liver), both are on special diets and supplements. They need to be separated during meals as they prefer to steal each others food. The girls can be picky at mealtime but their foster dad has taught them not to bother begging for table scraps.

Sheba is a bit shy and takes a while to warm up to new people. Her vision (and possibly hearing) is somewhat impaired so its best not to startle her with sudden movements. Once she gets comfortable, she enjoys petting and other forms of attention; however, she is not comfortable being a lap dog. She has several skin tags (or cysts) on her body that she sometimes picks and creates scabs; however, these are largely cosmetic, and the vet is not concerned.

Diva lives up to her name! She is a snuggle-bug and loves most forms of attention. She will gladly provide lots of kisses in exchange for belly rubs. She loses her mind with excitement whenever foster dad comes home from running errands. Immediate kisses and belly rubs are the best cure!!!

Did we mention that both Sheba and Diva are low/non-shedding? Foster dad has allergies to most dogs but no sneezing with these 2 angels.

Apply today if you can provide a loving forever home for these golden girls!
